In mid-September, the Upper Gym was buzzing with the excitement of the 2025 Club Fair. The room was filled with returning favorites as well as never-before-seen clubs. Some of the most popular student-led extracurriculars included Model UN, Mock Trial, and the Spokesman. Junior Cy Cooper, cohead of the Volleyball Club, along with junior Silas Ramirez, were pleased with the number of signups and interest that their club received, “It was awesome, and I loved to see that many people share my interest in volleyball.” Although somewhat overwhelming at times, the club fair was generally well-received by the new freshmen. Freshman Naavya Trivedi voiced, “It was a bit chaotic, but overall it was an exciting experience.” She emphasized that it was a great opportunity to dive deeper into her interests, as well as explore new activities. Trivedi expressed interest in joining a wide variety of clubs, including Mock Trial, MUN, Debate, and HOSA (Health Occupations Students of America, a new club for the 2025 school year, led by juniors Aryan Kunwar and Abhisheck Srinavasan). HOSA is a global student-led competition recognized by the Department of Education and the Department of Health and Human Services. Sophomore Michael Zhou shared his excitement for the second club fair of his high school career, signing up for the new program, “TEDx PrincetonDaySchoolYouth, coheaded by senior Amber Pancholi and junior Prisha Tiwari.” This club features TEDx-style presentations delivered by students and shared as part of the global TEDx Platform. It is a wonderful platform to share student voices and foster civil discourse. The new clubs for the 2025 school year also included a new chess club, called obCHESSed. Overall, the 2025 PDS club fair was a huge success, showcasing the breadth of extracurricular activities the school offers.
