Here’s How to Have Fun this Halloween

With COVID-19 still running rampant, Halloween this year is undoubtedly going to look much different than past years. It would be unsafe to dress up and go door to door trick or treating or have Halloween parties, but there are still plenty of things you can do to make the best of the occasion!

Here are some fun ideas:

  • Put on a costume and go for a walk around your residential area/town to admire all of the decorations and other costumes.
  •  Have a socially-distanced outdoor movie night with friends and family.
  •  Organize a scavenger hunt with your family.
  •  Decorate pumpkins.
  • Throw a virtual costume party.

If you still choose to go trick-or-treating:

  • Please make sure you wear a mask!
  • Let your candy sit for 3-5 days OR thoroughly wipe it down with disinfectant before opening it. This will ensure that COVID-19 particles are not lurking on the wrappers!
  • Remain socially distant from fellow trick-or-treaters.
  • Carry hand sanitizer and use it frequently!
  • Don’t touch your hands or mouth to your face!

If trick-or-treaters come to your house and you feel uncomfortable due to COVID-19, don’t be afraid to politely turn them away!
