The Club Fair is an exciting opportunity for Upper School students to explore new interests. The event allows club leaders to share new activities with the student body, inviting students to try new pursuits or hone a new skill. There is a club for almost everyone, and the options abound. From EnAct to Affinity groups, Upper Schoolers have the chance to learn more about the new clubs and support their friends.
This process is most valuable to the underclassmen and students new to PDS because they are learning about the school’s clubs for the first time. This gives them the chance to explore new spaces and meet new people. It provides an opportunity to discover the activities PDS offers as well as exploring a place where they can showcase their talents. Students can also gain exposure to the clubs they might be interested in leading one day, depending on how passionate they are about that cause. The club fair is an experience in which every student should partake to broaden their horizons at school.
Not only is the club fair valuable for students joining, but it is a rewarding experience for student co-heads. Junior Daniel Caruso, Co-Head of Science Olympiad mentioned, “It was interesting to see all of the new clubs and ideas.” Co-heads of clubs could propose creating a space for students to participate in and share their interests. Similarly, Junior Jake D’elia, Co-Head of AI/ML and the Arts and Sciences commented on how he enjoyed meeting and talking to new people. Overall, the 2024 Club Fair was a success and continued to present new, creative, ideas for the PDS community.
